Metroid Prime: Federation Force Incorporates Cooperative Elements
Primarily focused on the shooting mechanics than on the exploration, Metroid Prime: Federation Force is similar in gameplay to the latest hand-held installment, Metroid Prime Hunters. Just like Prime Hunters, this first person shooter video game incorporates cooperative elements and players work together as a single unit instead of competing against each other.
A Blast Ball multi-player mode is featured in Federation Force where players wearing their mecha suits shoot balls into a net just like in the game of soccer. This mode offers three matches and serves as tutorial for control scheme and in-universe exercise for the playable marines.
