The first true “muscle car” is considered to be the Pontiac GTO that came out in 1964.
The first racing games is said to be the 1959 game, Mini Drive where you used a steering wheel to control a car the scrolled across a conveyor belt. But in the late 60s Kasco had a game called Indy 500 which used a rear-projection screen to display a first person scrolling track on the screen.
